Overview
Major camping market player needed to have various pieces of content translated and localized from French into English but also into Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish – for the websites, newsletters, blog articles, ads campaigns, and also online magazines. All translations were carried out on a daily basis. This project lasted 2 years and used some of our resources extensively; the Ya-Hub Translations team was ready for it.
Approach
We received the pieces of content usually in the morning between 9am and 11am CET. These were sent by our main contact from the client’s side, the content management team. We were given a brief each time indicating language pairs, number of words per piece of content, some advice for specific terms we were not used to translate if needed – and the deadline was also shown of course. The documents were attached to the daily emails.
We usually translated all texts on .doc files except for the online magazine where our teams were using the client’s translation platform (in house version of Poedit). We added the translations in the appropriate cells. New texts were added by the client’s content team on a daily basis as we moved on with the next translations.
Results
We used the same team for the whole project to preserve stylistic consistency along the way and translations were delivered on time. The initial project which was supposed to end after 6 months was extended several times as a result of the client’s high level of satisfaction. And – the project did last over 2 years.
Conclusion
For this demanding work with tight deadlines, where translations were needed in simultaneous languages at the same time, we used the best suited team guaranteeing optimal results. This impacted very positively our client’s brand image across their European market audiences, confirming their position of European leader in the camping industry.
