Overview
Technical manuals from English into Russian, Simplified Chinese, French and Dutch for a leading European distributor of valves, butterfly valves and actuators.
Large pieces of content: 30,000 words per language (per document) on average.
Approach
Our team translated directly on Word documents. The layout was also adjusted (Desktop Publishing / DTP) for pictures and schemas.
Results
Very quick turnaround time on these projects, high content quality using the same (native / industry specific) teams for all projects.
Conclusion
We managed to produce quality technical translations which was not straight forward given the high level of technicality required to localize in context.
Currently, given that the delivered works were satisfactory, these projects are still ongoing and the Ya-Hub Translations team is being asked to prepare more teams for the upcoming targeted languages including some of the main Central European languages.
